Splunk and iSecure Announce Agreement to Deliver Managed Security Services in Thailand

SAN FRANCISCO, May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Splunk, the IT Search company, and ACIS i-secure, a subsidiary of United Information Highway (UIH) of Thailand, announced today that ACIS i-secure will license Splunk to provide managed security services to their user base. New government policy in Thailand, the Computer Related Crime Act B.E. 2550, requires any company that deals with public data on the Internet to comply with specific regulations. To meet these requirements, ACIS i-secure has built a solution on Splunk, for delivery to their user base through their managed security services offerings. Splunk's universal indexing capabilities give iSecure's customers the ability to collect, index and secure all security data from any application, server or device, keeping it all within the boundaries of their own networks, making compliance easier and secure.

"Through our collaboration with Splunk we are able to help our customers meet their compliance requirements in an expeditious and cost effective way. Our joint solution helps our clients improve their operations and keep up with changing regulation and compliance mandates," said Pong Trakulthong, managing director, ACIS i-secure. "ACIS i-secure chose the Splunk IT Search platform because they make it easy to quickly build a custom solution that solves problems, has a better overall value proposition, and more deployment flexibility than the alternatives."

The Splunk IT Search platform is the industry's first integrated approach to keeping infrastructure available, secure and compliant. Splunk collects and manages logs, configurations, messages, traps, alerts and statistics from every IT component. That data is then available to any application for fast problem solving, threat response, compliance reporting or insight into user activity and transactions. The platform includes a common set of services and APIs making it easy for iSecure to integrate Splunk with their own managed security services offerings.

"Splunk is easily adaptable to serve a multitude of datacenter needs, provide many options for building applications, and a great deal of opportunity for service providers, resellers and OEM partners worldwide," said Pervaiz Choudhry, director, business development, Splunk, Inc. "We are very excited about our partnership with UIH and ACIS i-secure and expect our combined solutions and services to empower our clients with flexibility to meet security and compliance needs world wide."
